Employment Law Firms: Content Built Around Claim Deadlines

Employment claimants search for deadlines. Build content around EEOC, Acas, Fair Work and Canadian time limits that converts urgent searchers.

The answer

Employees who think they have a claim usually search for the deadline before they search for a lawyer. Employment firms that publish clear, jurisdiction-specific deadline content, and put a booking path beside it, capture prospects at the moment urgency is highest.

The deadlines prospects search for

Market Deadline What it means for content
US EEOC charges generally within 180 calendar days, extended to 300 days where a state or local agency enforces a similar law State-specific pages explaining which applies
UK Most employment tribunal claims within three months less one day, with Acas early conciliation required first for most claims Pages that explain early conciliation and how it affects the clock
Australia Unfair dismissal applications to the Fair Work Commission within 21 days of the dismissal taking effect Urgent, short pages with same-day booking
Canada Varies: federal unjust dismissal complaints under the Canada Labour Code within 90 days; provincial rules differ Province-specific pages

Building a deadline page

  1. State the deadline in the first sentence and link to the official source.
  2. Explain what starts the clock and what can pause it.
  3. List the documents to gather now (contract, payslips, emails, dismissal letter).
  4. Offer a same-day or next-day consultation with a visible booking link.
  5. Review every deadline page quarterly; rules change.

Why this works for AI search too

AI search tools answer deadline questions directly. Pages that state the rule plainly, cite the official source and are kept current are more likely to be cited in those answers, which puts the firm’s name in front of the searcher even when they do not click.

Guardrails

  • Deadline information must be accurate and current; an error can cost a client their claim.
  • Present it as general information, not advice, and invite a consultation.
  • Do not suggest a claim will succeed.

What to measure

  • Visits and bookings from each deadline page.
  • Share of consultations booked within 48 hours of first contact.
  • Citations of your pages in AI answers (spot-check monthly).

30-day checklist

  • Publish one deadline page per market you serve
  • Link each to the official source
  • Add a booking link beside the deadline
  • Set a quarterly review reminder
  • Check AI answers for your top three deadline queries
